Devlog #15 | Week 4

So... Jenny here, long time since last devlog, huh. Hope y'alls 2023 has been good to you so far.

Comfort Zone isn't dead... but it has gotten a major makeover. Because of our small team and limited time, we needed to scale our project down. So our producer and mentor, together with Sondre discussed how we could go about doing that. So... Comfort Zone went from a 2d Sidescroller with horror elements, to a visual novel. YAAAY... (Can you tell how enthused I am?) Okay but seriously, I'm cautiously optimistic that It'll turn out decent. But it has kind of reset all our progress. So we're back at square one.

Felix and I have been trying to outline the basic premise, setting, characters and similar. While Sondre familiarized himself with Twine, and created a new project in Unity. We'll try and keep some of the main premises of Comfort Zone intact, but there will be massive changes. Also despite it's appearances it is not a dating sim, I will cry loudly if you say it is.

Because of that there really isn't too much to show for the radio silence either.

K, see yall next week.

So when will the first prototype for this dating sim come out? And also, will there be a gay mode?

I can't with confidence say when our earliest prototype will be out, but I do know for sure at the latest we'll have a prototype for late March. It's also not a dating sim so there won't be any option to romance anyone.
